My wife and son made some waffle brownies (brownies made in a waffle iron instead of baking them–brilliant!) to bring to a friend’s party last night. If you’re like me, you try to get a corner piece of a brownie, because you like the edges. Making brownies in a waffle iron makes every bite an edge piece. How cool is that?!

My wife made some more sugared cranberries for Christmas. This time I thought I’d document the “making of” this popular treat. You can get the recipe here.
Bring sugar, water and ginger to a boil. Let the solution cool for a few minutes, add cranberries and let them soak.
Mix the cranberries in sugar with grated ginger.
Coat the cranberries with the ginger sugar.
Savor the end results.

A Twinkie. I could only eat one bite. I used to love these things when I was a kid. Don’t know what happened but I should probably be happy about it.
